Nanaimo Emergency Physician Association (NEPA)

We are an Association of Physicians contracted by the Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) to staff the Nanaimo Emergency Department.

As Members we are bound by our Association agreement which is available for review on request.

We are responsible ultimately to see all-comers to the Emergency Department, and we can only achieve this by working alongside each other in an equitable fashion.
Summer and Holiday scheduling is done as equably as possible. We strive to have a work ethic that does not “leave our colleagues stuck” in a work environment that can be high pressured and stressful.
There is an expectation that members will be involved in department meetings, committees and NEPA business meetings.
